Hunting the headhunters

This article has been removed as a courtesy to one of the persons who were mentioned. Despite the fact that this person's identity was obscured, insult was taken while none was meant. Of course, I will re-evaluate my ideas about sharing insights and even entering that industry based on what I am observing at the moment. Good luck to everyone!

Update 18/11/2016:
Please note: I sent this person in question a friendly email, expressing my regrets and documenting the person's phone call. I took the post that cost me a lot to produce off the web as soon as feasible. Instead of a thank you (or even an apology), I received a nasty reply that I should not send an email ever again (the person initiated the contact). I do understand that this person is emotionally involved at the moment. However, when a sportsperson is making a fair tackle after having been spat in the face, been insulted and called names, then even apologizes himself for having been rough (obviously in a rough game), offering a hand shake, and a tap on the shoulder, in my opinion, it is not a wise move to spit again, show a complete lack of professionalism and every sense of fairness!

Based on this incident I will investigate what standards, what training and licences requirements are applicable in the real estate head hunting/recruiting business and what rules of sportsmanship apply. I read that 'Rugby doesn't know rules - only laws'. I love Rugby if said laws apply to everyone!

Welcome!

Welcome to Brisbane Real Estate Insider! What is my idea? Why do I think it will make a change? How can you contribute?

Quite a few people want to start a new career at some stage in their lives. I always wanted to sell something that matters to me and that people understand. A couple of weeks ago, I signed up for for a Queensland Real Estate Salesperson Course. It is mandatory if you want to be actively working in the real estate industry.
My idea is to share experiences relating to the Real Estate Industry in Brisbane.
During the course, I found that there were quite a few people in the course, that were sitting in the same boat as me, checking out if real estate offers a career change for them. So, my idea is to help people like me and them by sharing the experiences that I will go through in the next few months, maybe years.

Yes, I don't understand this industry. I have never been in sales and am probably the worst person to market myself. On the other hand, I love to communicate and it is probably difficult to beat me as a facilitator. I can ask relevant questions, can listen and I do care.
My blog might change the way real estate training and recruiting is understood!
Isn't that what real estate agents should do? Ok, I do understand that some people think that caring is only a term in Duty of Care but actually is counterproductive in real estate. Maybe I am not the only one not understanding this industry well enough.

So, will the career change journey that I started be a success story or an epic failure? At the moment, chances are about 50:50 for myself. Why not share why some people spend quite a bit of money for some real estate training? From what I hear the drop-out and burn-out rate is high while in the job. My own quest already starts trying to get into the industry. I don't have relatives, or mates that would smoothen my way in. I don't have 30 years of business experience, neither in sales nor in real estate. That is the really interesting part, a challenge.

If you have your own story, feel free to share. If you are willing to sponsor the musings that you are finding in this blog, feel free to contact me. If you want to make my blog banner-free, we should talk.
Participate or sponsor my blog!
If you feel that talking about the non-speakable pain we have to go through trying to find our spot in the real estate industry is inappropriate, let me know, write a response, call me. If you want to copy this idea: go ahead and let me know so I can read and learn. If you want to silence me quickly: help me to get a paying job in the real estate industry!

Enjoy!
