Welcome to Brisbane Real Estate Insider! What is my idea? Why do I think it will make a change? How can you contribute?
Quite a few people want to start a new career at some stage in their lives. I always wanted to sell something that matters to me and that people understand. A couple of weeks ago, I signed up for for a Queensland Real Estate Salesperson Course. It is mandatory if you want to be actively working in the real estate industry.
Yes, I don't understand this industry. I have never been in sales and am probably the worst person to market myself. On the other hand, I love to communicate and it is probably difficult to beat me as a facilitator. I can ask relevant questions, can listen and I do care.
So, will the career change journey that I started be a success story or an epic failure? At the moment, chances are about 50:50 for myself. Why not share why some people spend quite a bit of money for some real estate training? From what I hear the drop-out and burn-out rate is high while in the job. My own quest already starts trying to get into the industry. I don't have relatives, or mates that would smoothen my way in. I don't have 30 years of business experience, neither in sales nor in real estate. That is the really interesting part, a challenge.
If you have your own story, feel free to share. If you are willing to sponsor the musings that you are finding in this blog, feel free to contact me. If you want to make my blog banner-free, we should talk.
Enjoy!

During the course, I found that there were quite a few people in the course, that were sitting in the same boat as me, checking out if real estate offers a career change for them. So, my idea is to help people like me and them by sharing the experiences that I will go through in the next few months, maybe years. My idea is to share experiences relating to the Real Estate Industry in Brisbane.

Isn't that what real estate agents should do? Ok, I do understand that some people think that caring is only a term in Duty of Care but actually is counterproductive in real estate. Maybe I am not the only one not understanding this industry well enough. My blog might change the way real estate training and recruiting is understood!
